Ateso Bible Complete Translation | Ebaibuli Ili Karai Kakujuas | Old & New Testament in Ateso Language | Holy Scripture for Iteso People of Uganda & Kenya

The Ateso Bible, known as Ebaibuli in the language itself, represents a monumental achievement for the Iteso community of Uganda and Kenya. After years of dedicated work by translation teams from various church traditions, the complete Holy Scriptures are now available in the heart language of millions of Ateso speakers .

This complete Bible contains both the Old and New Testaments translated into clear, understandable Ateso. The translation project, which began officially in 2011, culminated in the publication of the New Testament (including Psalms and Proverbs) in 2020, with intensive work continuing to finalize the complete Old Testament and deuterocanonical books . The translation team included representatives from the Catholic, Anglican, and Pentecostal/Charismatic churches, ensuring an interconfessional Bible suitable for all Christians in the Teso-speaking community.
